Covid-19 is mysterious. I will not speak about the digits of lethality in Russia. Of course they are lie. Russian Government made lie basis of their policy, thus this is not a big surprise that they are lying here also. But let us see other data.
France. The lethality (the relations of the number of deaths to the number of finished cases) is 31%. In Germany the lethality is 5%. Why. Is the medicine in Germany better? More ventilators?
Let us see Iceland. The lethality here is half of pro cent, 0.5%, 10 times less than in Germany. Why? I asked the Iceland Ministry of Health about their protocols, they did not answer.
May be gens if Icelanders more Covid-resistant? No, this is not good hypothesis. The number of cases per 1 million of population in Iceland was very high, more than 5000, more than in US, Belgium or Italy. And 17% of Icelanders are immigrants who were burn not in Iceland. No these are not gens...
Cyprus. The lethality today is a little more than 4%, less than one in Germany. And this is in a country that was not prepared for epidemics and where the medicine is very weak comparing with Western Europe.
2% lethality in Israel may be explained by the high quality of medicine. But is Israel medicine is 21 times better than Sweden one where lethality is 42%?
May the climate be responsible for low lethality? But the lethality in Mediterranean Italy today, 20th of May is 20% and where the epidemic was in Northern Italy only the lethality was up to 45%. The lethality on Mediterranean Spain is 12%. But the lethality in Malta is a little more than 1%.
What is the reason?
If we cannot answer this question in frameworks of science we have to expand these frameworks. There may be the different hypotheses here: from different resistance to the virus of different geographical places to depending of lethality on attitude to the virus: unserious attitude makes virus more aggressive and deadly (what we see in Western Europe, US and by the way in Singapore) while serious one reduce its dangerousness.
These are only hypotheses, but the problem exists – we must understand the reason of so crucial differences between lethality in different countries.

Загадочная эта болезнь. Ну, ладно – на статистику летальности из РФ внимания обращать не надо. Врут. Во всем врут, и в этом тоже. Но посмотрим другие цифры.
Франция. Летальность 31% (28 000 умерших/90 000 переболевших). Германия, летальность 5% (8000/165000). В чем дело? Лучше медицина в Германии? Больше вентиляторов?
Посмотрим на Исландию. 0,5%, летальность полпроцента, в 10 раз ниже, чем в Германии. Я пытался запросить в исландском минздраве данные о методах лечения, откуда такой сказочный результат? Не ответили.
Может быть гены у исландцев такие антивирусные? Нет, не получается. При ничтожной смертности заболеваемость в Исландии была огромной – больше 5000 на миллион, чуть меньше, чем в Испании, но больше, чем в Штатах, Италии и Бельгии. А 17% исландцев – иммигранты. Нет, дело тут не в генах...
Кипр. Летальность на сегодня чуть больше 4%. Меньше, чем в Германии. При полной неготовности страны к эпидемии и очень слабой по европейским меркам медицине.
2% в Израиле можно отнести на высокое качество медицины. Но неужели она настолько лучше шведской с ее 42% летальности?
Может – климат? Но в той же средиземноморской Италии летальность на сегодня (20 мая 2020 г.) 20% (а пока эпидемия была только на севере Италии цифры доходили и до 45%), а в Испании – 12%. При этом на Мальте – чуть больше 1%.
В чем тут дело?
Если ответ не удается найти в рамках подхода естественно-научного, нужно расширять эти рамки. И гипотеза пока просматривается весьма неожиданная. Вирус отступает, когда отношение к нему серьезное. И наказывает за наплевательское отношение. Что мы и наблюдаем чуть ли не во всей Западной Европе и США. Но еще, между прочим, и в Сингапуре. А может, дело в том, что в разной степени резистентны к вирусу разные земли, разные места на Земле? Возможно и это. Возможны и еще более мистические объяснения...
Впрочем, это не установленный наукой факт – так, гипотеза.
