The Effect of Quarantine

The red curve (new cases per day) shows the natural behaviour of virus. The blue curve shows what quarantine does: 1) slow the speed of curve; 2) lower the maximum of curve (new cases per day), and what maybe even most important 3) reduce the area below curve that is the total number of cases and correspondingly the total number of deaths. The stricter quarantine the bigger its effect. Do you understand?

Красная кривая (новые заболевшие за день) – это естественное поведение вируса. Синяя кривая показывает, что дает карантин: 1) Замедляет рост кривой, 2) Понижает максимальную высоту кривой (максимальное число заболеваний за день), и (самое важное) 3) уменьшает площадь под кривой (общее число заболевших, а значит, и умерших). Чем строже карантин, тем сильнее его эффект. Понятно?
